Workshop on e-Green Watch at Forest Department, Haryana, Panchkula on 27/02/2020

One-day workshop on e-Green Watch was organized on 27.02.2020 at Van Bhawan, Haryana Forest Department Hq., Panchkula. The workshop was attended by Dr. Amrinder Kaur, HOFC, Sh. Deepak Kumar Sinha, Secretary Forest, Sh. Vineet Kumar Garg, PCCF, CAMPA and Conservators of Forests of various circles, Divisional Forest officers of Haryana. Sh. Sunil Jain, Scientist-F, NIC Bhopal, Sh. Anil Kumar, Scientist-F, NIC, MoEFCC, New Delhi, Sh. Deepak Bansal, SIO, NIC-Haryana, Sh. Ramesh Gupta, ASIO, NIC-Haryana, Sh. Bidyut Ranjan Gohain, Scientist – F, and Sh. Abhay Kumar, Assistant Director, FSI Dehradun were also present.
e-Green Watch has been designed and developed by NIC, MP and NIC, MoEF as an enterprise level solution for facilitating the monitoring of plantation and other forest works being undertaken by the State Forest Departments under various schemes of GoI and State.
Sh. Sunil Jain, Scientist-F, NIC, Bhopal, has demonstrated the features of e-Green Watch system. The e-Green Watch solution facilitate plantation site identification, site selection using various parameters, plantation project preparation, Work Estimates, SoR Management, Annual Plan of Operations management, Plantation Work progress: Financial & Physical, Inspections, Evaluations: Internal and External Evaluations of forestry works, Plantation Journal. It has also been integrated with the FSI solution for verification of the Plantation and other works.
Govt of Haryana intends to adopt the e-Green Watch for monitoring of plantation and other forest works being undertaken by the Haryana, Forest Department.
Dr. Amrinder Kaur, HOFC and Sh. Deepak Kumar Sinha, Secretary Forest appreciated the facilities and features offered by the e-Green Watch and shown keen interest for its adoption.
Sh. Deepak Bansal, Scientist-F & SIO, NIC-Haryana proposed the way forward for its adoption by the Haryana State Forest Department. Sh. Ramesh Gupta, Scientist-F and ASIO coordinated the workshop with the user department.
