The District Road Managers (DRM) meeting on the eDAR project concluded successfully today, with State Informatics Officer Shri T. N. Singh praising the team's dedication and offering key guidance.
The session drew senior officials including Shri Arvind Yadav (Director IT), Shri Aninda Paul (Advisor ICAT), Shri Amit Dewangan (Joint Director IT), Shri Saransh Shirke (SRM eDAR), and all state DRMs.
Discussions spotlighted AI's vital role in advancing Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) efforts, tracing the project's evolution from iRAD to eDAR, PM RAHAT, and now Rahaveer Yojna. Digital innovations are proving effective in reducing road fatalities, even as accidents rise.
Chhattisgarh, the first state to roll out PM RAHAT post-pilot, met all deadlines and received commendation from MoRTH.
SRMs and DRMs earned accolades for spearheading the shift from manual processes to a robust digital framework.
Adding inspiration, Shri Singh recounted his role in launching Chhattisgarh's 108 emergency response system with the current Chief Secretary, a initiative that saved numerous lives. eDAR team members are now carrying forward this mission.
