Website of Water Resource Department,inaugurated by Honble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sudesh Mahato,Jharkhand

Shri Sudesh Mahato, Honble Deputy CM inaugurated the website - wrdjharkhand(dot)nic(dot)in  and MIS of Water Resource Department to mark the celebrations started on the eve of foundation day of Jharkhand. The function was attended by Shri S K Sathpathy, Principal Secretary, Shri B C Nigam, Spl. Secretary and senior engineers of the department.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy CM underlined various irrigations projects undertaken for the overall development of the state. The Principal Secretary highlighted his department achievement and appreciated NIC for developing the website which also has an MIS link for monitoring various ongoing and completed projects of the department. Shri Shahid Ahmad, SIO spoke about the benefits of GIGW compliant website and its security features.
The website has links for  - interlinking of rivers,interstate issues and gives details of river basins of Jharkhand apart from regular features like photo gallery, allotment orders, notifications & departmental circulars. The MIS facilitates monitoring of real time progress of projects at various locations through - Google Maps using latitude and longitude.
The website was developed under the guidance of Shri S K Mohakul, TD while the MIS part was completed by the team comprising Shri Loukesh Kumar TD, Smt. Pompa Banerjee, SSA and Shri Anshu Kumar, Scientific Officer.
