A comprehensive training session on the SWS LicenseSoft application was organized at the NIC, Puducherry District Centre, Collectorate Hall, Puducherry on 07th August 2025 to facilitate the issuance of Temporary Crackers Shop Licenses for the upcoming Deepawali 2025 festival. The application for these licenses is accessible online via the SWS LicenseSoft portal, which enables efficient and streamlined processing during the licensing period (https://swscollectorate.py.gov.in/Licensesoft/FormAE.do?mode=AE5).
The training was requested by the Puducherry Collectorate officials to the State Informatics Officer (SIO), NIC Puducherry, and the NIC, Puducherry District Centre.
The session was conducted with permission from Shri Mahesh M. Halyal, State Informatics Officer & Scientist-F, NIC Puducherry. It was coordinated by Shri Anburaj Natarajan, District Informatics Officer & Scientist-C, and Shri Sumit Kumar, District Informatics Associate & STA-A, NIC Puducherry District Centre. The demonstration was led by Shri A. Sundiramurthi, Scientist-D, NIC, Puducherry UT.
Participants included collectorate officials such as Revenue Officers, Tahsildars, Clerks, Police officials, and NIC Puducherry District Centre team members. Using a projector, the trainer demonstrated the complete workflow of SWS LicenseSoft, covering step-by-step navigation, license application processing, data entry procedures, approval and issuance processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
Following the demonstration, an interactive Q&A session was held, where doubts were clarified, and suggestions or feature requests were noted by NIC officials.The participants expressed satisfaction with the clarity and comprehensiveness of the training, appreciating the application’s ease of use.
The training concluded successfully, ensuring that all relevant officials are confident and well-prepared to handle licensing operations for Deepawali 2025.
