They can use any of their bank accounts as the Multiple Option Payment System of State Bank of India allows payment by almost all banks. The online payment system has been made functional for 58 RLAs and 10 RTOs in Himachal Pradesh.

The  system has been integrated with H.P. Cyber Treasury and each tax receipt has been linked with e-Challan. The each e-challan receipt is also linked with the concerned RTO/RLA who are also the DDO. The reconciliation by the DDO  with the treasury will not be required for the online cases. The Multi payment option facility has been made available through SBI using ATM/Debit card and Internet Banking.

The Vehicle Owner of commericial vehicle will get this facility on 24x7 basis. It will not only save their time to come to RTO/RLA Office and stand in queue but also  the expenses for their trip to RTO offices. The vehicle owner will also be able to see the tax due and penalities of their vehicles. The payment receipt is being sent by SMS and e-mail to the vehicle owner.

The software interface has been developed by the NIC and Sh. Bhupinder Pathak, DIO Kangra and Transport Project coordinator gave a presentation on the Interface.
