Inauguration of modified Land Registry System by Shri Akhilesh Yadav, Hon'ble Chief Minsiter of UP

Hon'ble Chief Minister of UP Shri Akhilesh Yadav inaugurating the system

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the modernized/updated PRERNA (PRoperty Evaluation & RegistratioN Application) software on 23rd December 2012 via video conferencing from his residence. Along with Chief Minister Shri Akhilesh Yadav, Agriculture Minister Shri Anand Singh, Basic Education Minister Shri Govind Ram Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Shri Arvind Kumar Singh, State Protocol Minister Shri Abhishek Mishra, Social Welfare State Minister Shri Narendra Verma, Agriculture State Minister Shri Rajeev Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary Shri Jawed Usmani and  IG registration UP Shri Alok Kumar graced the occasion by their presence.

The PRERNA software has been developed by NIC, UP with an aim to replace manual procedures by computerized working system at sub-registrar offices (SRO) of Stamp and Registration Department of the state so that the public can get better and quick services.  PRERNA is a one stop electronic solution for all kinds of property registration. It is running successfully in 167 Sub Registrar Offices of 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh. The main features of the software are computerized property valuation, computerized calculation of stamp duty and registration fee, computerized cash receipt generation, Instant photo and thumb capturing, computerized endorsement process, registration process etc. It facilitates the registry process in less than 30 minutes with prompt return of documents, document search facility, auto generation of index register, thumb register, fees detail register etc.

“Land registry department is one of the most important departments of the state. This department gives the second largest amount of revenue to the state. Citizens are directly connected with its services; hence adoption of modern and advanced techniques will not only upgrade the quality of service but it will also improve the image of the state.” quoted by  Shri Akhilesh Yadav.
