Sh. Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones of development projects at multiple locations on 27-December-2021 at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, using NIC VC facility. Speaking on the occasion of State Government completing 4 years, he appreciated the State Government for the efforts made in effectively controlling the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that the vaccine coverage of cent percent eligible population in the State was the result of dedicated and committed efforts of the State Government.
Sh. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Honorable Governor, HP, Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Honorable Chief Minister, HP, Sh. Anurag Singh Thakur, Honorable Union Information and Broadcasting Minster and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Prime Minister inaugurated 111 MW Sawara Kuddu Hydro Electric Project and laid foundation stones of Rs 7000 crore Renuka ji Dam on Giri river in Sirmour district and 66 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project, a joint venture between the Government of India and the State Government located on the Beas river in Hamirpur and Kangra districts. He also laid foundation stone of 210 MW Luhri Stage I hydro-electric project to be constructed by spending an amount of Rs 1811 crore on Satluj river in Shimla and Kullu districts of the State.
The inauguration and stone laying by Hon’ble Prime Minister was facilitated through NIC Video Conferencing and officers from NIC Headquarters, State Centre Shimla and District Centre Mandi contributed in making the event successful.
