Debasish Nath, Arunachal Pradesh

Honorable Minister for Urban Affairs, Land Management & Civil Aviation

In a significant step towards digital land governance, the Hon’ble Minister for Urban Affairs, Land Management & Civil Aviation, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Balo Raja, officially launched the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) and the Land Information System of Arunachal (LISA) on 3rd February 2025. Developed and implemented by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under MeitY, these digital solutions aim to streamline land registration, revenue collection, and land record management.

The NGDRS platform ensures a uniform and transparent process for registering deeds and documents, allowing citizens to complete property registration online with digital verification and secure payment gateways. Meanwhile, LISA facilitates comprehensive digitization of land records, making land ownership and revenue transactions more accessible, efficient, and fraud-resistant.

Key Features and Benefits

  • NGDRS: Enables seamless deed registration with online payment integration for land transactions.
  • LISA: Digitizes land records, improving transparency, accountability, and real-time access for citizens and officials.
  • User-Friendly Digital Services: Reduces paperwork, minimizes bureaucratic delays, and enhances efficiency in land administration.

Officers from NIC and State Government Departments attended the launch event, highlighting the technological advancements that will drive better land management and governance. NIC officials emphasized that these platforms align with the Digital India mission, ensuring that Arunachal Pradesh moves towards modern, citizen-friendly land administration.

With the rollout of NGDRS and LISA, Arunachal Pradesh has taken a major leap in digital governance, setting a benchmark for efficient and technology-driven land administration across the country.
