NIC Puducherry designed and developed an Integrated MIS Portal for welfare schemes of Government of Puducherry. On this, a workshop was held at the Regional Administrator's Office at Yanam, Puducherry UT on 20-03-2025. During the session, Sh. N.S. Kumaran, Sr. Director(IT), NIC Puducherry provided an overview of the Integrated MIS portal for welfare schemes managed by the Department of Government of Puducherry UT viz., Women and Child Development, Social Welfare Department, Revenue Department (Rajiv Gandhi Social Scheme for Poor Families), Adi Dravidar Welfare, and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department. The speaker also discussed about the DARPAN Dashboard.
The workshop further addressed challenges faced with utility services websites, such as PEDSERVICES by the Electricity Department and the Online Water Tax Collection System by the Public Works Department which is developed for Government of Puducherry UT by NIC Puducherry. Then, Sh. B.S. Chandrasekar, Director (IT), NIC Puducherry presented insights on Cyber Security and the mitigation plans to the officials of Yanam.
The workshop was attended by the Regional Administrator (RA) of Yanam, as well as officials from various departments of Government of Puducherry UT, including Women and Child Development, Social Welfare, Adi Dravidar Welfare and Scheduled Welfare, Electricity, Public Works, Civil Supplies, Fisheries, and Revenue.
