NIC Odisha bags e-INDIA Awards - 2015

As India is progressing towards a Digital India, it has become imperative to ensure that the ultimate fruits of ICTs become available to all sections of people at every corner. In this regard, 11th elets eINDIA Awards  2015 Summit has been organized at Hotel Taj Mumbai on dt-30.11.2015 to emphasize Government of India’s vision of Changing India through the Digital India Program.

National Informatics Centre, Bhubaneswar has brought glory to Odisha by receiving elets eIndia Awards – 2015 on the project “Dynamic Portal of Odisha Crime Branch (http://odishapolicecidcb.gov.in  )” in the category  Cyber Security Initiative of the Year.

The award was received by Dr R N Behera, Sr. Technical Director, NIC, Odisha, Bhubaneswar from Sri M. Sankarnarayan, IAS, Director IT Dept, Maharastra  in presence of  Shri V.K.Goutam, Principal Secretary, IT Dept , Maharastra, Sri D.S.Mishra, Addl. Secy, Ministry of Urban Development, Govt of India, Sri C. S. Kumar, State Transport Commissioner, Odisha and other senior officers of Govt of India and Govt of Maharastra

The Crime Branch portal is unique of its kind in disseminating information on police, crime branch and overall crime scenario of Odisha. The portal consists of information on Odisha Crime Branch. The portal consists of Tracking the Missing persons, Cyber crime, Women trafficking, Economic Offence Wing, Special task force, IAHTU, various safety tips and crime scenario of Odisha and citizen charter.

The portal is conceived by Sri K.B.Singh, DG of Police and contributed by Sri B.K.Sharma, ADG of Police and Sri Arun Bothra, IG of Police, Crime Branch. The portal is developed by NIC Odisha State Centre, Bhubaneswar by Dr R.N. Behera, Sr. Technical Director, Sri A.K.Das, Technical Director, NIC under the guidance of Sri S. K. Panda, DDG & SIO, NIC, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
