Launch of the Website of the Town Official Languages Implementation Committee, Shimla

Sh. H.C. Negi, Principal Income Tax Commissioner, HP Launching the Website

The website of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Shimla was launched on 25th May 2016 by Sh. H.C. Negi, Principal Income Tax Commissioner, Himachal Pradesh and Vice President of the TOLIC, Shimla (NARAKAS -Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvyan Samiti, Shimla). Speaking on the occasion, Sh. H.C. Negi informed the member offices the website will help the member offices to constantly remain in touch with each other and with the activities being carried out by the TOLIC Shimla. He expressed his thanks to the NIC State Centre, Himachal Pradesh for developing this website.

The meeting of the TOLIC Shimla was held during the occasion and Dr. Surender Kumar Sharma, Secretary, TOLIC Shimla managed the proceedings of the meeting and the launch ceremony. The website is available at http://himachal.nic.in/narakasshimla and will soon be available at http://narakasshimla.nic.in also. About 90 Heads of various Central Government Departments at Shimla and concerned officials from Departments were present in the meeting.

The website contains information about TOLIC Shimla, President, Secretary and Members details, achievements, communications, notifications, photo gallery, annual magazine in downloadable format, proceedings of the meetings, notice board and contact.

The responsibility for regular updation of content has been assigned to Sh. Rajender Singh, Senior Private Secretary, Department of Income Tax who has been provided the necessary training for regular updation of the CMS based website so that the necessary notices, orders etc are made available on the website for the convenience of the member offices. It was also decided during the launch function that the details of the 12 competitions, to be held during the year 2016-17 for the Central Government offices situated at Shimla, will be made available on this website.

The website of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Shimla has been designed and developed by NIC Himachal Pradesh under the guidance of the SIO, Sh. Ajay Singh Chahal and the main team members include, Sh. Sanjay Sharma, Scientist-D and Hindi Officer, Sh. Rakesh Kumar, Systems Analyst and DIO Bilaspur, Sh. Sarvjeet Kumar, Scientific Officer, Ms. Amritanjali Sharma and Ms. Surbhi Upadhyay.
