Inauguration of On-line Shasanadesh Service in Uttar Pradesh

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Akhilesh Yadav, launched the ‘Online - Shasanadesh’ portal on 4th July 2015. Addressing the representatives of the media, senior officials of the state government and the citizens participating in the event, the Chief Minister emphasized that the government is committed in its resolve to bring transparency in the government systems. He further added that the government is taking all necessary steps to streamline the processes and ensure ease of governance in the state. The Chief Minister congratulated the team involved in the project and added that the system is a major step towards transparent government and will benefit various sectors of the society including businesses, students, organisations and common man in accessing the government orders right from their home. The Chief Minister also added that the provision of GO's being made available on e-mails is a major step towards electronic governance and appreciated the concept.

The Shasanadesh Portal (http://shasanadesh.up.nic.in)  is a key initiative of Government of Uttar Pradesh towards e-governance. It has made all the Government Orders (Shasanadesh) available online on the Internet that can be accessed on anywhere-anytime basis. The Secretariat Administration Department has already made it mandatory that the GOs issued after September 16, 2013 will be considered valid only after they are made available online. This has ensured transparency in the systems and prevented false practices. It has also created a citizen friendly environment in the state.

Many senior functionaries of the state including Shri Rajendra Chowdhary, Cabinet Minister, Shri Rajeev Kumar Singh, Minister of State, Dr. Ramesh Yadav, Advisor, Shri Alok Ranjan, Chief Secretary, Shri Anand Mishra, APC,  Shri Amit Mohan Prasad,  Principal Secretary & Shri Prabhat Mittal, Secretary, Sachivalaya Administration Department were present during the inauguration along with the NIC Project development team comprising of Shri Ajai Gopal Bhartariya, Technical Director, Shri K.M.A. Khan, Principal Systems Analyst & Ms Shalini Singh, Systems Analyst

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Alok Ranjan, Chief Secretary, GoUP said that the facility provided by the portal is a significant step in e-Governance and will result in transparency in government functioning. Shri. Prabhat Mittal, Secretary, Sachivalaya Administration, gave a brief presentation on the Shasanadesh System and its citizen friendly e-Mail subscription services.
