Haryana:- Inauguration of providing of services available on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) and High Court/ District Courts websites through CSCs

Regarding inauguration of providing of services available on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) and High Court/ District Courts websites through Common Service Centres (CSCs) at village level on 11.01.2018

As Hon’ble e-Committee, Supreme Court of India, is emphasizing on eAwareness of litigants/ Advocates and general public regarding eCourts services available on National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) and High Court/ District Courts websites, to achieve this objective, on 19.12.2017, a meeting was conducted by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Chairman, Computer Committee with the Officers of Information & Technology and Rural Development & Panchayat Departments. During the meeting, it transpired that at present, 6500, 5500 and 22 Common Service Centres (CSCs) are functional in the States of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh, respectively which are providing 171 services including pertaining to Departments of Agriculture, Education, Electricity, Election, Finance, Industrial Training and Vocational Education, Police, Public Health, Engineering etc. to the masses at the village level. For this purpose, they are charging a nominal fee of `5/- for viewing any information and `2/- per page for taking print out of the information. These services are being provided by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a Govt. of India enterprise. The representatives of CSC assured that if they are given permission, they can provide the services available on NJDG and High Court/District Courts websites to the litigants at village level at a nominal cost of `5/- for viewing the case status/ order/judgment and `2/- per page for taking print outs.

During the last fortnight, the System Officers/ System Assistants, working in District Courts imparted training to the District Managers as well as the officials deputed at CSCs/ Gram Sachivalayas regarding the information available on NJDG and High Court/ District Courts websites and the steps as to how case information can be sought from these websites.

Today, Hon’ble Mr. Justice S.J. Vazifdar, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court, formally launched the services, which are to be made available to the masses through CSCs. The ceremony was attended by the Officers from Information & Technology and Rural Development and Panchayat Departments, Advocate General, Haryana, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab and Senior Standing Counsel, U.T. Chandigarh.

While informing the media, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal informed that from now onwards the litigants at village level would be able to view their case status/ order/ judgment at a nominal cost of `5/- and would be able to take print outs @ `2/- per page for which purpose they have to either approach their Advocate/ Clerk or come present to the High Court personally. This would facilitate the litigants in saving their valuable money and time.
