HARYANA : e-Haryana Workshop for two days Organized at Chandigarh

The e-Haryana  - a two days workshop  was organized on February 7-8, 2014 jointly by Secretariat for Information Technology , Government of Haryana and eGov Magazine at Chandigarh. The theme of the workshop was,   shaping the future of Electronic Services Delivery. The Secretariat for Information Technology Haryana, (which includes  State DEIT, NIC-Haryana State Centre , State e-Governance Society & SeMT) & HARTRON  has been providing Value Added ICT services and implementing key ICT initiatives & e-Governance Projects in Haryana. 
The NIC–Haryana State Centre has been functioning as a technology partner of the Haryana Government Line Departments & Secretariat for Information Technology and  facilitating the line departments and assisting them on all technical aspects.  The key ICT initiatives and successful implementation of various e-Governance projects has helped the state to receive a number of prestigious National Awards / Accolades.  
The workshop was inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The conference was addressed by Sh. J. Satyanarayna, Secretary deity Govt of India, Sh. S.C. Choudhary, Chief Secretary Haryana, Sh. P.K. Chaudhery, Advisor (Development & Governance Reforms) Haryana, Sh. Y.S. Malik, Addl. Chief Secretary, Industries, Electronics & IT Haryana. The focus of the workshop was  How can we now deliver true citizen delight – not just a bare minimum level of service? How can we move away from a preponderance of forms, certificates and true copies? How to not only deliver a hassle-free experience but also pave way for a two-way engagement of the Government with the Citizens?
The thought leaders, Visionaries, Policy Makers and Implementation specialists of transformational e-Governance initiatives, including Principal Secretaries & HoDs of various line departments,  come together at this conference to discuss, debate and propose the future directions. The emphasis was less on the past and present; shaping the future, while drawing on the experiences of the past and present. Government and Private Sector participants alike, take an in-depth and critical view in identified areas of e-service delivery.  
There was a technical Enabling Technology Trends for Citizen Services. The DDG & SIO NIC-HarSC Haryana delivered a lecture & presentation on Implementation of in Emerging Technologies in Haryana’s Integrated e-District Application.
There was also a technical session on Presentation & Demonstration of Haryana’s Integrated Citizen Services Framework (IVISS & One-State projects). This project is being developed in-house by an integrated application development team of State DEIT, NIC-Haryana, C-DAC Mohali, Hartron & SeMT Haryana. The project is being launched as Haryana eSewa CSCs.
The focus of all sessions was mainly on future plans. References to the past & present were largely to support the logic/rationale behind the future plans. The NIC-HarSC put up a stall within the stall of Secretariat for IT Haryana, showcasing its value added services in Haryana and receipt of various state/national e-Governance awards. The HoDs of NIC-HarSC and selected DIOs actively participated in the e-Haryana Workshop.
