State Level AI-Insight Conclave at NIC Bhubaneswar

A state-level conference on Artificial Intelligence was organized by NIC, Odisha on 17th December, 2025 at Guru Kelucharan Odissi Research Centre, Bhubaneswar. All State and District level Officers and Staff of NIC, Odisha participated in the event. Inaugurating the event Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Parliamentary Affairs and Electronics and IT, Govt. of Odisha discussed the wide-ranging implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the State and the monitoring mechanism of different schemes using the technology. He also appreciated the contribution of NIC to Digital Transformation in the entire country. The event was graced by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Rout, Special Secretary, Electronics & IT Dept. and CEO, OCAC. Academicians from IIT, Bhubaneswar and NISER, Principal Applied Scientist from Microsoft presented their ideas on building Secure, Modular & Extensible AI Systems.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Hota, DDG & SIO highlighted various projects that have been implemented using Artificial Intelligence in NIC, Odisha and discussed the future roadmap. In this occasion the Odisha Desktop Profile prepared on various projects with integration of Artificial Intelligence was released.
