To mark World Environment Day, the 'Dakshin Kedarnya' for conservation of Shri Kshetra Jyotirlinga Dongar, Kolhapur Maharashtra was inaugurated by Hon’ble Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis via VC on 5th June 2025. The event featured a tree plantation drive and was presided over online by Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari. Maharashtra's Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Shri Prakash Abitkar and Medical Education Minister Shri Hasan Mushrif also participated virtually in the event.
NIC Kolhapur District provided necessary technical support for the event locally. VC Team of NIC Mumbai coordinated the event under the guidance of SIO Maharashtra in coordination with VC team NIC HQ.
