Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Launching the Portal

Him-Atithi portal for Online Booking of Rest Houses of Jal Shakti Vibhag, Himachal Pradesh has been launched by Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh on 20th January 2026. The Him Atithi portal at https://himatithi.nic.in has been developed as a generalized solution for Government Department owned Rest Houses. General Administration and Public Works Departments have already onboarded the portal. Jal Shakti Department is third to onboard this generic portal. This has resulted in transparency, increased revenue for the Government and instant booking facility for Government employees and citizens.

On this occasion Dr. Abhishek Jain, IAS, Secretary, Er. Anju Sharma Engineer-in-Chief, Er. Anil Mehta Chief Engineer and other senior officers from the Jal Shakti Department, Himachal Pradesh were also present. Sh. Ajay Singh Chahal, State Informatics Officer, Sh. Lalit Kapoor, ASIO, Sh. Sanjay Thakur and Sh. Prithvi Raj Negi from National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh were also present.

The Him Atithi portal has been developed by National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla. The portal enables Citizen/Tourists to book room online in 87 Rest Houses of Jal Shakti Department, spread throughout the state, so that they can enjoy comfortable and affordable stay in beautiful locations. The portal is accessible at https://himatithi.nic.in/jsv.  After booking Applicant will receive a confirmation message on registered mobile number. Also, the applicant can check the status of booking on the portal using the option “Check Booking Status” and the applicant can cancel booking using “Cancel Booking” option available on the portal.

The portal has been integrated with e-Challan payment gateway of Treasury & Accounts Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh so that the booking amount collected against the online booking directly gets deposited in the Government Treasury. The Solution also facilitates the user department to monitor the occupancy and revenue generated by from the online booking of rest houses. The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh and Secretary, Jal Shakti, Himachal Pradesh specially appriciated the e-Sanchalan/Works MIS software developed for the Department by National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh.
