Standardised District Portal of Puri District (Odisha) launched

The Standardised District Portal of Puri District (http://puri.nic.in ) was inaugurated by Dr. Arabinda Padhee, IAS, RDC(CD) on Dt-20.03.2013 at NIC Puri in a function organized in the Video Conference Hall, Collectorate Building in presence of Sri Naba Kumar Nayak, Collector & DM, SP, ADM, PD, DRDA, Puri.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Padhee expressed that the standardized portal is having a common look and feel , can facilitate common citizen to get various citizen centric services like land records, e-Abhijoga, RTI, donation to Shree Jagannath Temple, tourism details, who’s who, telephone directory etc.

Dr R N Behera, Sr. Technical Director, NIC, Bhubaneswar expressed that standardization of district portal initiative was taken based on the content architecture of the National Portal of India (india.gov.in) under NeGP. The purpose of the portal is to standardize around 640 odd Districts across the country and Puri is the 16th District in the state of Odisha to launch this programme.

The Portal is designed and developed by NIC Odisha State Centre with the guidance from Dy. Director General Shri S. K. Panda, advise from Data Centre and Web Services Division , NIC(HQ), headed by Mrs Neeta Verma, DDG, NIC New Delhi with the support from Department of IT, Govt of Odisha and CSP. The inaugural function was facilitated by the NIC District Centre, Puri.

Senior Officers of District Administration, NIC Officers Sri K C Pattnaik, PSA, Sri S.K.Sahoo, PSA, Sri R. K. Sahoo, SA and others were present on the occasion. The programme was conducted by the DIPRO & Nodal Officer, District Portal Puri and Sri Biswanath Panda, DIO, Puri.
