The National Informatics Centre (NIC) Raipur has successfully conducted the online admission counseling process for undergraduate and postgraduate students of three state agriculture universities — Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (DSVCKV), and Mahatma Gandhi Udyanikee Evam Vanikee Vishwavidyalaya (MGUVV).
The counseling exercise, covering courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Veterinary, and Dairy, processed 24,089 Vyapam records. Out of these, 1,666 students secured admission at IGKV, 954 at MGUVV, and 250 at DSVCKV. Officials said the initiative reflects NIC’s efforts to ensure admissions that are transparent, efficient, and technology-driven.
Transparent and Unified System
According to NIC, the counseling platform provides end-to-end automation — from student registration and application submission to final seat allotment. Candidates are required to upload documents, select college preferences, and pay fees through a secure online gateway linked with SBI and Bank MIS reports. Examination results from Vyapam, PET, JEE, and 12th boards are seamlessly integrated, minimizing manual intervention.
Automated Merit and Seat Allotment
The system automatically generates merit lists and a dynamic seat matrix for each round of counseling. Seat allotment lists, cutoff reports, and vacant seat status are digitally signed and made publicly available. This, NIC officials said, ensures fairness, accountability, and transparency in the process.
Strong Verification and Admission Management
A document verification module allows committees to validate uploaded certificates before or after seat allotment. The system also supports provisional admission, withdrawal, floating and freeze options, along with provisions for spot counseling and conversion rounds.
NIC has also built safeguards including real-time MIS reporting, data backups, and error-free handling, protecting both institutional records and student interests.
