Nagaland: Kiphire District Website launched on S3WaaS Platform

Taking another step forward in providing effective e-Governance facilities to the common man, District Administration, Kiphire launched its revamped website, https://kiphire.nic.in. The website was formally launched by Hon ble Minister for Soil & Water Conservation & Chairman, District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Kiphire, Shri V.Kashiho Sangtam, in a program held on 13th August 2018.

DIO Kiphire, Shri Deepak Kumar, informed the house that S3WAAS (Secure, Scalable and Sugamya Website as a Service) provides the facilities like GIGW Compliance, Generic Search, Responsive Design etc. and that the website can now be accessed even by visually impaired people by using the speaking software which is easily installable on any system. He also informed that the colour blindness problem has been addressed by the website as it provides the feature of changing the contrast to enable colour blind people to access it and that a lot many new features have been incorporated in the new version which includes Information about DC Office, STD Codes, PIN Codes and Telephone Directory, Tourism Information, Schemes etc.

In his address, Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Shri Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS, specially appreciated the efforts made by DIO, NIC Kiphire and his team along with Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) for achieving this migration and making Kiphire the third district in the State to achieve this target. The DC also informed that the data on the website will be regularly updated and new features will be added in the future to provide effective Governance and Citizen Services to the common man of the District.

The launch program was attended by all the administrative officers and Head of the Departments of the district and staff members of NIC, Kiphire District Centre, Nagaland.
