On the eve of 71th Republic Day, various officers of NIC J&K were conferred with awards/certificates for their exemplary contribution towards leveraging IT enabled services for making good governance possible.
District Anantnag
District Informatics Officer and Technical Director, NIC Anantnag Shri Jan Mubarik Ahmed has been conferred award of appreciation during the Republic Day parade of 2020 held at district headquarters, Anantnag. The award was conferred by the Chief Guest (District Development Commissioner) in presence of DIG, South Kashmir, DIG CRPF, Brigadier 1-RR and SSP Anantnag. The award has been conferred as a mark of recognition of IT services rendered by NIC Anantnag and especially the work done by Sh. Jan Mubarik for design and development of MIS for monitoring of Back-to-Village Programme in the district. During the Internet restrictions since 5th of August 2019 when only NICNET is functional in the states, NIC has provided Internet services to 87,430 citizens especially students through its two Internet Kiosk Centres with 80 numbers of nodes. NIC has provided all technical and handholding support to various departments for purchasing of various equipment and machinery through GeM.
District Samba
District Informatics Officer, Samba, Shri Sanjeev Kapoor on the occasion of 71st Republic Day has been conferred with an award and certificate for his contribution towards exemplary work (IT enabled services) in District Administration Samba. Worthy Deputy Commissioner Shri Rohit Khajuria presented the award in presence of Superintendent of Police Shri Shakti Pathak.
District Udhampur
Shri Anish Sharma, District Informatics Associate, NIC Udhampur was awarded with Meritorious Social Service by the District Administration Udhampur on the eve of 71st Republic Day. The Award has been given for the “Sakoon Project” which is an integrated IT Platform for Processing & Disbursement of Disaster Relief.
It is pertinent to mention here that The “Sakoon Project” of District Administration Udhampur has been awarded “Gold” under Category III “Excellence in District Level initiatives in e-governance (i) North-East States + Hilly States (ii) UTs (including Delhi) (iii) Other States” for the 23rd National Conference on eGovernance.
