District Collector Mahasamund introduced the concept of appointing nodal officer at each and every gram panchayat of district to monitor the status of public welfare scheme launched by state/central govt. Appointed nodal officer could be govt. employee at nearby village/village panchayat / block. Every nodal officer must visit his assigned village panchayat or village once in a month to take stock of public welfare schemes of various sectors like ‘Anganbadi, Education, Health, PDS. Every nodal officer then prepares a progress report and submits to respective SDM/ CEO Janpad who in turn compiles the reports of all village panchayat of their block and submit to collector.
In order to eliminate cumbersome manual report preparation and inherent delays NIC District centre Mahasamund took initiative to design and develop the application software to computerize these processes. Nodal officer can log in online by using provided credential to update the monthly progress. Higher officials can then generate multiple reports online to enable appropriate decision making.
This application has been successfully inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr. Raman Sigh on the 23rd of May 2013 in Mahasamund District. The application can be accessed at http://cg.nic.in/mahasamund.
