Ceremonial Distribution of Pension Payment Orders (PPO) generated through KRITAGYATA portal, on 7th January 2021

Hon'ble Minister for Pension & Public Grievances Assam, Shri Phani Bhushan Choudhury, distributed Pension Payment Orders (PPO) to retirees in a ceremonial function on 7th January 2021, organised by the District Administration of Bongaigaon district. The PPOs were generated through KRITAGYATA portal for all 24 retirees who retired on 31st December 2020, under Inspector of Schools, Deputy Inspector of Schools and DEO.

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam had launched the pilot implementation of KRITAGYATA portal on 1st October 2020. KRITAGYATA portal has been built on the Bhavishya platform and the Assam implementation was named as Kritagyata by the Chief Minister of Assam as a mark of gratitude to the long service of the retired people. As a part of the 2nd phase of implementation, KRITAGYATA was rolled out in seven (7) Districts and Bongaigaon district was one of them. Training programmes were held in the middle of November 2020 and after the training programme, the concerned Government Offices of Bongaigaon District processed the cases of retirees (Teachers) who would retire by 31st Dec 2020, with an aim to distribute the PPOs in the first week of January 2021. The retirees submitted their forms online through KRITAGYATA portal.

The Hon’ble Minister, Shri Phani Bhusan Choudhury, praised the efforts taken by Pension & Public Grievances Department, Govt of Assam, in collaboration with NIC for successful implementation of KRITAGYATA. He has applauded NIC Assam for taking such a noble step to generate PPO on the very next day of retirement through the on-line system. He expressed his happiness for Assam being the first State to adopt the National Application Bhavishya to the Assam Scenario.

The District Administration has expressed their sincere gratitude to NIC Assam for the trainings and implementation at Bongaigaon and to the DIO, NIC Bongaigaon district, for being instrumental in providing all technical support and necessary guidance to the officials of the District for operating the portal smoothly.

The Additional Dy. Commissioner in his vote of thanks has expressed his gratefulness to National Informatics Centre, Assam, for bringing the online pension portal Kritagyata for Assam under the platform of Bhavishya. The team of NIC Assam along with officials of Directorate of Pension were also felicitated in the function.
