Two NIC, Himachal Pradesh Projects Conferred PC Quest Best IT Implementation Awards 2016

Thirteenth CIO Leadership Forum was organized by Cyber Media (India) Ltd. from 11th March to 13th March, 2016. During the event two projects developed by NIC District Centre Mandi and Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh were awarded “PC Quest Best IT Implementation Award”.  Both the projects have been developed by respective NIC District team of Himachal Pradesh.

Schemes Monitoring Information System (SMIS) developed by NIC Mandi was awarded Jury's Choice for Best E-gov Project. SMIS is a web based solution for the whole process of sanctioning the Developmental Schemes under Decentralized Planning. The System provides features right from schemes entry, sanctioning & disbursing of funds, sanctioning of additional funds if required, periodic progress of the ongoing works and entry of utilization & completion certificates. The physical and financial progress of each and every sanctioned work/scheme is recorded in the system. The Project has been implemented in all Districts of Himachal Pradesh (except for the tribal districts).

Hot Dak Tracking System (HDTS) was awarded PC Quest Maximum Score Award. HDTS is meant for online tracking of important and high priority references across the office. Priority DAK marked by the office head is entered into HDTS for further tracking and management. The PUC is also scanned and uploaded onto the system as PDF file. The single PUC can be sent to multiple offices/branches with individual target dates as required. The progressive status is entered by the responding users. Copy of the reply can also be uploaded, if required. The Project has been implemented at Himachal Pradesh Raj Bhawan, Shimla and Deputy Commissioner Offices at Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Chamba, Shimla and Solan.

 Sh. Akhilesh Bharti, DIO Mandi and Sh. Vinod Garg, DIO Hamirpur received these awards on 12th March , 2016 at Hyderabad.
