“Standardisation of District Portal with Web CMS” project received Manthan Award (South Asia and Asia Pacific 2012), for Digital Solutions in Entertainment and Inclusion Section, in the function organised by Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 1st December 2012.
The award was received by DR. R. N. Behera, Technical Director and NCNP, NIC, Odisha State Centre and Mr D.P. Misra, PSA, NIC(HQ), New Delhi at India Habitat Centre from Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs Shri Salman Khursid.
This portal is developed by NIC, Odisha State Centre with the technical guidance of Data Centre and Web Services Division, NIC(HQ) New Delhi. The team consisting of Dr R. N. Behera, Technical Director, Mr Sambit Panda, PSA, Mr B. L. Gupta, SO / Engg-SB with the guidance of Shri S. K. Panda, State Informatics Officer, NIC, Odisha and advise from NIC(HQ) Mr D.P. Mishra and Mrs. Neeta Verma, Head Data Center and Web Services Division.
The Standardized district portal framework across the country was put in place, which is citizen centric and disseminates information about district and sub-district level with Odisha as a pilot State. It acts as a single window platform for all categories of information satisfying G2C, G2B, G2E and G2G services. This initiative is based on the content architecture of the National Portal of India (india.gov.in), a mission mode project of Government of India, under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
