The technical and professional education has been accelerated in the state of Odisha with good number of technical and deemed universities and institutions having national and international reputations. There are more than 100 diploma institutions and around 700 ITI institutions functioning in the state. Every Year around 30,000 Diploma and 50,000 ITI students take admission in different courses/trades. For generating skilled manpower and technically self sustained and employment assurance, government provides facilities for creating more and more professionals in these areas. The functionalities like admission of students, their form fill up, conducting examinations, result processing and publication, issuing certificates etc are to be done seamlessly by the State Council. Thus, an IT based on-line monitoring system “Vidyarthi” is rolled out in Odisha for completing these functionalities. This software provides an end to end solution starting from admission to certification. Further, the database helps the recruiters, government employment and others for getting the details about the students.
