National Voters’ Day 2020: India celebrates this day on January 25 every year. The purpose of celebrating National Voter’s Day is to make the youth aware of voting. It is the right of every responsible citizen because each vote decides the fate of the new government and democracy. This year’s theme of National Voters’ Day is - ‘Electoral Literacy for Stronger Democracy’. On this day, various speech competitions, campaigns, voter ID distribution to new Voters’, photography of Voters’, etc programs are conducted.

            The 10th National Voters Day (NVD) was celebrated across the country on 25th January 2020.NIC Sate/UT Centre and district centers always play a major role in election process on regular basis. National Informatics Centre provides technical support to the district administration in various IT projects which are being implemented in the district. NIC provides complete technical support and handholding of the district in Municipal Elections, Panchayat Elections, Parliamentary election and the recently concluded BDC Elections. During 10th National Voters day a no of officers were appreciated at their respective levels.
District Samba
District Informatics Officer, Samba, Shri Sanjeev Kapoor on the occasion of 10th Voter has been conferred with an award and certificate for his contribution towards exemplary work (IT enabled services) in District Administration Samba. Worthy Deputy Commissioner Shri Rohit Khajuria presented the award in presence of Superintendent of Police Shri Shakti Pathak
District Kathua
The district administration, to put on record the Meritorious services rendered by the NIC District centre Kathua, The Worthy Deputy commissioner Kathua Shri O.P.Bhagat honored the DIO, NIC Kathua, Shri Sourabh Bhandari with a memento exemplary services rendered during Municipal Elections, Panchayat Elections, Parliamentary election and the recently concluded BDC Elections on the 10th National Voters Day on 25th of Jan 2020.
