September 18, 2018, the Accountant General (A&E) Jammu & Kashmir Sh. Shourjo Chatterjee inaugurated the online SMS facility for the pensioner to update them about their Pension case status during the Pension Adalat at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre, Srinagar.
The SMS will be generated from the AGJK website http://agjk.nic.in in the following events for both the fresh pension cases as well as for the pension revision cases:
1. On Receiving the New/Revision Pension Case (Application Number will be communicated)
2. On returning the case to the department in case of objection (information / intimation).
3. On Approval the Pension Case (PPO Number / Authority Communicated)
4. On Dispatching the Pension case (Speed Post reference number and date is communicated
The Accountant General thanked the NIC J&K Team for providing the technical Support for hosting the website and completing the task of SMS integration within a short time span and other technical support provided from time to time to AG JK Office.
A few new pensioners were also invited in the function. The AG (A&E) distributed the Pension Payment Order to them and after the inauguration the pensioner displayed the messages deliveredto them by SMS on the spot.
The latest status of the pension case is also available on the website of the AG J&K. The Deputy Accountant General (Pension) Ms.Sangeeta Purswani expressed that this facility will bring transparency by updating the pensioner about their pension case status.
