To introduce first of its kind initiative in India for submission of bills in treasuries in form of digitally signed e-Voucher in place of physical form bills, NIC Haryana in coordination with Treasuries & Accounts Department has organised a half day workshop has been organized for the Drawing and Disbursing officers of Chandigarh Treasury at New Secretariat Haryana conference hall on 21/06/2017 to training on new e-Voucher system .
To implement the system, Chandigarh treasury has been selected as pilot treasury where the bills will be signed digitally by the makers, checker at the DDO level and various officials in the Treasury who play vital role in bill passing workflow. This workshop has been attended by Joint Director Treasury & Accounts and all the DDO’s who operate from Chandigarh Treasury. AG office will able to download the digitally signed bills and account data from the IFMS portal.
NIC Haryana has made provision for multiple digital signing of same bills/sub vouchers being prepared online through the IFMS portal developed for the Finance Department of Haryana. This will do away with the submission of physical vouchers to the Account ant General Haryana, which in turn will remove the problem of missing vouchers in the transit and also will save a lot of paper in the preparation of bills.
