Haryana: IT Jhanki was awarded 2nd prize by Governor of Haryana at District Panchkula

On 26th Jan 2011, Republic day of India, there was a State level function in Panchkula. His Excellency Sh. Jagannath Pahadia, Governor of Haryana and Lady Governor were chief guest. Chief Secretary, Haryana Ms. Urvashi Gulati and DC, Panchkula Ms. Ashima Brar were also there.
On this occasion, NIC Panchkula prepared Jhanki on Computerization in Rural Haryana. It was funded by DITS, Panchkula. In Jhanki, computerized ROR, agmarknet portal, web enabled voter list, computerization of pension schemes, importance of computer education, distance education through computers, use of internet and e-mails etc. were shown.
To present IT Jhanki, a village scene was created on 22ft trolley. In the trolley, following were expressed:
1.A happy farmer was shown operating the laptop
2.Farmer was telling importance of computer to his servants and family members.
3.His daughter was shown promoting computer education.
Jhanki was awarded 2nd prize by His Excellency Sh. Jagannath Pahadia, Governor of Haryana.
