3rd National IVFRT Conference organized at Goa during 16th - 18th January 2014

3rd National IVFRT Conference 2014 was organized at Goa during 16th – 18th January 2014. The Theme of the Conference was to “Share the developments and put momentum on the rollout of the MMP towards its timely completion.” Participants were from MHA, MEA, BoI, FRROs, FROs, State Govt’s and NIC. On the Day-1 i.e. 16th January 2014, the inauguration session started with lighting of the inauguration candle by the dignitaries on the dais, namely Dr. Shefali Dash, DG, NIC, Mrs. Mukta D. Tomar, JS (CPV), MEA, Mr. Bhagwan Shankar, JS (IS-II), MHA, Mr. V. Vumlunmang, JS (F), MHA, Dr. BN Shetty, DDG, NIC and Mr. NS Bundella, DD(I), BoI.
Dr. BN Shetty, DDG, NIC welcomed all the Dignitaries on the dais and guests / participants attending the Conference. He also highlighted the theme of the National Conference and emphasized the importance of speedy rollout of applications like Indian citizenship (IC) and National Database of Arms Licences (NDAL) in various states. Mr. V. Vumlunmang, JS(F), MHA spoke on the topic “IVFRT-MMP and MHA perspectives”. He said the IVFRT-MMP has maintained the timeliness consistently as far as deadlines and milestones projected in the DPR. For above achievement, he praised all stakeholders for their cooperation and especially NIC – the key technical partner of IVFRT. Mrs. Mukta D Tomar, JS(CPV), MEA spoke on the topic “IVFRT-MMP and MEA perspectives”. She expressed satisfaction on the successful rollout of the project and applauded NIC for above achievement with their excellent technical support. Dr. Shefali Dash, DG, NIC expressed her view on the aspect of NIC’s technical concern in implementation of IVFRT-MMP. She expressed her happiness on the way the IVFRT-MMP was implemented in the country and at all missions abroad maintaining the timeliness and economic viability. She said that IVFRT-MMP is an exemplary implementation as far as project’s complexities, diverse vastness and imposed deadlines of milestones are concerned. Last but not the least, the inaugural session ended with vote of thanks by Mr. NS Bundella, DD (I), BoI.
The Inaugural session was followed by MHA session which was chaired by Mr. V. Vumlunmang, JS (F), MHA. In this session, presentations were made by Mr. V. Vumlunmang, JS(F), Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Sinha Director (MU & I), Smt. Pravin Horo Singh, Director (F-II) and Mr. Sivaraman, consultant (F). Session on National Database on Arms Licences (NDAL) was organised which was chaired by Mr. Bhagwan Shankar, JS (IS-II). Dr. BN Shetty, DDG, NIC made a PowerPoint presentation on NDAL. After Lunch there were technical sessions coordinated by Dr. RK Mishra, TD NIC. The topics covered were overview of IVFRT, PRC, GLP & TVOA, ICS, cFRO, C-Form, S-Form, UCF, Infrastructure, VPN etc.
Day-2 was dedicated to BoI presentations till lunch and official site visit of participants to Airport and Seaport. During the BoI session, presentation was given by Mr. NS Bundella, DD(I), BoI. NIC State Coordinators also participated in the session and clarified all technical queries related to project implementation. Dr. Kannan, FRRO, Chennai made a detailed presentation on the steps taken for full rollout of C-FRO in Tamilnadu. NIC State coordinators’ meeting was taken by Dr R K Mishra, TD, NIC and Mr. CL Sharma, TD, NIC regarding implementation/ rollout status and various issue faced by NIC state Coordinators during rollout of various modules of IVFRT.
Day-3 was the last day of the conference. There were three more technical sessions on OCI, IC, and NDAL. Dr. BN Shetty, DDG, NIC also delivered his presentation on NDAL and shown the futuristic view of NDAL. Feedbacks of participants were also analyzed and inferences were also discussed with the participants during the Valedictory session. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. RK Mishra, TD, NIC. He thanked JS(IS-II), JS(CPV), JS(F), JD(BoI), DG (NIC) for their motivation and all time active support for the conference. He thanked all others participants, invitees, delegates of MHA, BoI and NIC who were present at venue as well as those who were in Delhi and extended all necessary support. He thanked all the learned speakers without which success of conference was not at all possible. He thanked Ms. Seema Khanna, Mr. SK Saxena and others with special mention of Mr. Anil Rastogi, Mr. NK Prasad, Mr. Sunit Dwivedi, Mr. Himanshu Dixit, Mr. Amit Mishra, Mr. Himanshu Mishra for the success of the conference.
