SIRSA: Revolutionizing Governance Through ICT

Sirsa is said to be one of the oldest places of Northern India and its ancient name was Sairishaka, which finds its mention in Mahabharata, Panini's Ashatadhayayi and Divyavadan. It must have been a flourishing city in the 5th century B.C. as mentioned by Panini. Sirsa forms the extreme west corner of Haryana and has bagged the honour of having the second highest cotton acreage across the country. Spread over an area of 4277 sq. kms and formed on November 1, 1975, District Sirsa is located at a distance of 255 Kms from National Capital on NH-10 and 250 Kms from the State Capital-Chandigarh.
