NIC Maharashtra State Centre at Mumbai and 36 NIC District Centres of Maharashtra are successfully providing digital services to Maharashtra State
in this challenging time. The focus and strategy are on sustaining the digital services as the number of users of online services are increasing.
With a view to augment the web hosting services, mini cloud data centre is being set up at NIC Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The network services are also strengthened at NKN PoP NIC Belapur.

Akola District - Pioneer with excellence in digital governance at the Cotton City of India

NIC, Akola is a pioneer with excellence in digital governance, with communication facilitation, technical support, system analysis, and innovative implementation of ICT. NIC, Akola is recognized with more than twenty various types of awards and recognitions for innovative initiatives of delivery of cloud-like services with Virtual Machine as a service, major contribution in the implementation of NLRMP for Akola and Maharashtra, and Framework
for e-Governance of fundamental resources water, electricity.

Patna District - Combating Covid-19 pandemic situations with efficient ICT interventions and Management

Patna became the first district to implement the e-Pass system of NIC in Bihar. With the application, a web portal was also created to enable citizens apply for e-Pass with much ease. The system has benefitted many who were stranded due to medical or other emergency reasons at various places in the District. In addition, Video Conferencing facility of National Informatics Centre is used by NIC-Patna to facilitated easy communication among various levels of Officials of the State Government during the pandemic period.

Visit of Principal Secretary, IT and Special Secretary, IT, Govt. of Haryana at NIC State Centre Haryana Office on 28/10/2021

Sh. Anil Malik, the new Principal Secretary to Govt. of Haryana, Electronics and Information Technology Department and Sh. Raj Narayan Kaushik, Special Secretary to Govt. of Haryana, Electronics and Information Technology Department, Haryana visited the NIC Office on 28/10/2021. He visited the NIC State Centre to get himself appraised about the NIC Haryana role in State IT. He was introduced to all the NIC officers by Sh. Deepak Bansal, DDG & SIO, NIC Haryana. All the DIOs were connected through VC.

Review of eGovernance initiatives and release of District eGovernance profile by the Collector, Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh

A meeting with the Collector, Shri P.S. Alma, IAS, and other district officials was organized at the Collectorate Meeting Hall, Dhamtari on 28th August 2021 to review the eGovernance initiatives in the district. The meeting was graced by Dr. A. K. Hota, DDG & SIO and Shri A. K. Somasekhar, STD & ASIO(Dist.) and Shri Satyesh K. Sharma, TD & DGM (NICSI).
