After the Bifurcation of the State in 2014, the State has embarked on a new beginning and has taken up many developmental activities in right earnest.
ICT in States
NIC Karnataka State Centre has been instrumental in designing, developing and implementing e-Governance solutions, which resulted in digital transformation in the State at all levels and has helped in achieving transparency and efficiency in the delivery of the citizen centric services. NIC has set up the Centre of Excellence in Blockchain Technology in Bengaluru with a vision to build niche applications using Blockchain in close coordination with the Government.
Keeping its pace with the global IT world, NIC Uttarakhand is continuously instrumental in steering ICT in the state, which has left a profound impact on improving the lives of people.
All such endeavours made achieving significant innovative breakthroughs including one of the fusions of Drona Technology, NKN, and VC, thus making an onsite look and feel interactive virtual review possible of Kedarnath renovation by Shri Narendra Modi, Honourable Prime Minister of India, and accolades from him.
Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh launched the HP Water Bills mobile app on 22 March 2021, at Janjaheli, District Mandi, on the occasion of World Water day, in the presence of Hon’ble Jal Shakti Minister Sh. Mahender Singh. On this occasion, a presentation was given, by Sh. Sanjay Thakur, Technical Director from the software development team, from NIC, HP State Centre, Shimla, explaining the functionality of this mobile app.

Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh launched the eParivahan services in the Transport sector in all RLAs/RTOs of State on 25-February-2021 in an impressive function at Shimla. Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh launched the Him Atithi-Room Reservation System for online booking of Government Guest Houses on 23-February-2021 at Shimla. The portal enables Government employees and other people to apply online for booking of these Government Guest Houses at Shimla, Chandigarh and New Delhi. He expressed hope that the new system will bring transparency and fairness in the allotment system as the demand is always in excess of the available rooms at these locations.

Hon'ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh Launches CM Office ICT Initiatives and Constituency Profiler
Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh launched three ICT initiatives of Chief Minister office on 6th January 2021 in the virtual presence of 34 Hon'ble Members of Legislative Assembly at Shimla. The Chief Minster expressed the hope that with the launch of these initiatives, the citizens and MLAs will benefit as they will get important information online and development of assembly segments can be monitored in a better manner.
Shri. V P Singh Badnore, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh UT launched “One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) Scheme” on 31st October 2020. The ONORC software has been developed by NIC. Chandigarh UT is the first State/UT to implement ONORC with integration of DBT. Also present on the occasion were Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Vinod P. Kavle, IAS Secretary, Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology, Chandigarh UT and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration.
