Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Akhilesh Yadav launched the SMART card based driving license in the state on 9th January 2013 at the regional transport office Lucknow. Under this scheme, the new DL will come in tamper proof plastic cards embedded with a microprocessor chip. The chip will have important details of the applicants like name, date-of-birth etc.. The ‘SARATHI’ software developed by National Informatics Centre is being used to digitize the applicant’s information and also to help the RTO in preparing a database on all information related to vehicle.
The Manav Sampda initiative, developed and implemented by NIC Himachal Pradesh State Centre as a complete Human Resource Management solution, has won the CSI eNihilent Award of Excellence under the G2E Project category. The Awards were presented in the recently held CSI Annual Convention at Kolkotta on 2nd December 2012.
Dr. Saurabh Gupta, State Informatics Officer and Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Systems Analyst received the award in the CSI Annual Meet in Kolkotta.
Haryana : Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) launched by Chief Minister on 2nd May, 2015 in Haryana Government
As part of ”Digital India” program, the DeitY, Govt of India, alongwith NIC have implemented Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) in Central Government Ministries/Departments in Delhi since October 2014. The implementation of system in Central Government in Delhi is seen to have had a significant positive impact on attendance of employees, bringing greater discipline & punctuality in the government offices.
Haryana: Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) launched for Haryana Pensioners at all Treasuries by Chief Minister on 2nd May, 2015
Haryana has become first State/UT Government, to implement Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) for State Government Pensioners, who are drawing their pensions from State Treasuries & Sub Treasuries.
Jeevan Pramaan Camp for the ex-servicemen of Dimapur & Peren Districts was successfully held on the 19th and 20th May, 2015 at the DC Office Complex, Dimapur.
The event was organised by Rajya Sainik Board, Nagaland, Kohima led by its Director, Brig. K. K. Roy Choudhary, SM, VSM (Retd.) and NIC Nagaland State Centre co-ordinated by Shri. Lanusungkum Aier, PSA and Ms. Novotsono Natso, Scientific Officer.
Jeevan Pramaan Camp for the ex-servicemen of Mokokchung & Longleng Districts was successfully held on the 28th, 29th and 30th May, 2015 at the DC Office Complex, Mokokchung. The camp was extended for the 30th May 2015, due to unavoidable circumstances such as power failure on the first day and SMS delivery failure on the second day for the first few hours.
Jeevan Pramaan Camp for the ex-servicemen of Wokha District was held on the 2nd & 3rd July, 2015 at NIC Wokha District Centre, DC Office Complex, Wokha, Nagaland.
The camp co-incided with the Digital India Week celebrations at Wokha District, wherein a total of 144 pensioners were issued the Digital Life Certificates.
The event was organised by Rajya Sainik Board, Nagaland, Kohima led by its Director, Brig. K. K. Roy Choudhary, SM, VSM (Retd.).
A one day training on Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System was organised by NIC Himachal Pradesh in the Directorate of Fisheries, at Bilaspur on 11th September 2015 for smooth roll-out of the AEBAS in all the District and Division level offices of the Fisheries Department.
About 25 officers, including all Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and other officials posted at Division/ District level participated in this training.

Grass-root Level Workshop-cum-Training on AEBAS at Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL), Sambalpur, Odisha
“Digital India” programme of Government of India seeks to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. As part of this programme, Deity / NIC / UIDAI have implemented Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) in all Central Government offices. This initiative is now being extended to offices of all State Governments as well as Central PSUs. MCL, a pioneer PSU (Navaratna Company), has successfully implemented AEBAS at its Headquarters since 2015.
